Arek - one interesting thing - I have a recording of my grandfather's brother, Frank, from shortly before he died in 1978. He talked about life in Lohiszyn under the Czar, and said they didn't have a Polish church to attend. I thought that sounded strange, but now I understand!

I had to read that article in an English translation, but it says Lohiszyn parishioners worshiped in Pinsk for a few years. I will order more microfilm for Pinsk, and look for my name. The Russian language records do spell my name with "G" - Гузаревич.
