PIDEK Lucy, age 58, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2007. Predeceased by her father Joseph Pidek, Lucy is survived by her loving mother Kasse Pidek age 93, her sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and David Straarup, as well as niece and nephew, Pamela (Mike), Braden (Melanie). Lucy leaves behind wonderful friends at CORE, her day-program of the Developmental Disabilities Association. Through-out her life, Lucy always greeted everyone with smiles of joy and hugs of delight. Her giggles will be missed. Memorial service to be held at the Richmond Pentecostal Church, 9300 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, on Friday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Developmental Disabilities Association would be appreciated.

PIDEK Kazimiera Born March 4, 1914 in Lodz, Poland, passed away peacefully
into the loving arms of our Lord, March 20, 2008. Lovingly known as "Kassie"
to her friends, "Baba" to her grandkids, and "Ciocia" to her nieces. Kassie
always had an attitude of joy, a smile, gentle with kind words for all who
passed through her life. Our Mom fought a brave battle with colon cancer,
diagnosed in her 93rd year of her life. Every step was faced with amazing
courage. She is predeceased by her husband Joe and daughter Lucy. She will
be deeply missed by her daughter Darlene (David), granddaughter Pamela
(Mike) and grandson Braden (Melanie). Many thanks to the staff at St.
Michael's Hospice for the gentle care given in her last days. A Celebration
of Life service will take place at Richmond Pentecostal Church, 9300
Westminster Hwy, Richmond, B.C. on April, 2008 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made in Kassie's memory to SOS Children's Village
