Hauser, Abel in Nowosolna and Lodz

Hallo,
I'm new to this forum. I'm researching my Hauser and Abel ancestors in Nowosolna and found out that I'm related to Fryderyk Abel who owned a textile fabric in Lodz (Kopernika 55). I've already found a picture of him in a book (Księga fabryk Łodzi), but no biographical information. He was born in Nowosolna in 1848, that's all I know.
Where could I find out more? Could there be a connection to the American sociologist and writer Teodor Abel (later: Theodore Fred Abel) who was born in Lodz?
