I am searching for information about my Libudziewski family in Poland. I do not know where they come from and the surname does not seem to be common (it has not turned up in any searches so far.)
I have all of the information on them once they arrived in the United States and they have quite a large family. Anyone researching them, I've probably already connected with on Ancestry.com.
But where did the Libudziewski clan come from? Here is what I know:
Michael Libudziewski born about 1820 d. unknown
m. Mary Ruchinska born about 1820 d. 17 Feb 1895 PA
children: Anton b. 1840 d. 20/6/1904 PA,
Barbara Frances b. 1842 d. 2/3/1928 PA,
Joseph b. 1847 d. 25/1/1914 IL
and Franz b. 1852 d. 27/3/1907 PA.
There might be more children for Michel & Mary, I do not know. I only know of these 4 that all came to Pennsylvania with their families.
Anton m. Rozalia Slesinski
Barbara Frances m. Andrzej Zalewski
Joseph m. Katarzyna Levandowska
Franz m. Johanna Wilda
All of these marriages took place in Poland or wherever the family was living. I am not certain that I have all of the women's surnames correct. I can only go by the records here in the US and they are often wrong.
Any information I can find on these marriages would also be appreciated by me and my Libudziewski cousins.
