Locating birth record in Zywiec

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I am trying to find the nest way to locate the birth record for my great-grandmother. Her name was Angela Huczek and she was born in Zywiec in 1875. Can I obtain the certificate directly from the church or through an Archive. Any help is appreciated.

In Poland, all the ancient church books are kept in the State Archives. If the place in question is Żywiec, a town located in the Silesian Voivodeship, so you can contact them directly for further information.

Agreed. Additionally you will have to be very patient while waiting for an answer from the archives. I asked once about my greatgrandparents and wanted only a short info, but waited more than 3 weeks. Don't give up, anyway!

Pragnę poinformować że w AP w Zywcu nie ma ksiąg metrykalnych.,księgi zanjdują się w konkatedrze.

Moniko jeżeli potrzebujesz coś z Żywca to podjadę ,tylko prośba o maksimum danych bo jest to olbrzymia parafia i np w LB a lat 1855-1875 jest około 3.000 wpisów.Dane poślij mi na priv.
Michałowi moge pomóc ,ale musi poczekać 2-3 tygodnie.

Dziękuję Ci bardzo Szczerze, nie dopisałam do końca, bo uważałam, że Michaela to nie będzie interesować - mnie przyszło pisać do AP w Pszczynie, nie do tego w Żywcu. Przepraszam za wprowadzenie w błąd. Chciałam go raczej uczulić, że na dokumenty z archiwów po prostu długo się czeka (zazwyczaj). Ja pochodzę z Górnego Śląska i po pobieżnym przejrzeniu tutejszego forum, wpisywaniu nazwisk z mojej rodziny - choć może mam mylne wrażenie - raczej mało danych dotyczy właśnie mojego "terenu".
