Hello, I was wondering if anyone had heard of findagrave.com? It has over 100 million records, but none from Poland that I can see. I'm not sure how well the older cemeteries have been kept up, and was wondering if there are any large cemeteries from the early to mid 1800's in Mazowieckie that still have legible gravestones.
Thanks
John
Thanks

Thanks,
I'm anxious to see if there are any Jagaczewski's or Szamier/Chamier's from my grandmother's line.

RE: findagrave.com
Yes, I'm pretty sure they are from there. John Jagaczewski was my great-great grandfather, and moved to the U.S. sometime around 1901 with his wife, Wiktoria Szamier, and their 5 children. They both died in 1932, and were buried under the name Agataski. The misspellings are incredible.
John
I think John's Jagaczewski's line goes back to Walenty Jagaciak, who died in 1795. I think his wife was Marianny, who died in 1780.

Re: RE: findagrave.com
I had seen the marriage between Jagaczewski and Szamier. On her death certificate, Victoria's father was listed as Valentine Samier. On other document's it was spelled Chamier. As for the scans, I had seen them, but can't translate them, and don't have many births to go with. I'm pretty sure John Jagaczewski was born in 1862 according to this:

I never found birth record's for his parents, I assume to be Josef Jagaczewski and Anna Pawlowski. Just a marriage.

I think I found Anna Pawlowska's birth. On the marriage in 1844, it said her parents were Marcin and Marianna.

Re: RE: findagrave.com
Hello, I had seen both parents names were Marcin and Marianna and thought it was odd, but not that uncommon. I believe Marcin Jagaciak married Marianna Matus in 1797. I think the Jagaczewski's were the Jagaciak's, but not 100% sure and no one has ever confirmed it.

I think Marcin remarried in 1833.

I'm not sure what the name was before Jagaciak. The earliest that I can trace the line is 1729 when
Bartłomiej Jagaciak married Teresa Jóźwik.

I looked at the list of scans, but I'm not sure what year births to look for besides 1862. I'm going to go through and see if I can spot the Jagaczewski name. Gonna take a while.
John
Edit:
Hello, Agaciak and Jagniak seem to also be earlier roots for Jagaczewski. The earliest records I found come from 1670 and 1702 in Tarczyn. That seems to be fairly close to Krzynowłoga Mała. Seems the marriage of Jakub Agaciak and Małgorzata Reszczanka has the best records to corroborate with children.
