It would be helpful if you would sign your posts with your name or nickname then we would know how to address you.

Please forgive me for asking, but is it possible that the surname may have originally stemmed rom the surname Anczenko? If you type Anczenko into the geneszukacz search box you will find that the Anczenko surname is rare in Poland and it's worth checking out just in case your future research may indicate that there may have been a name change at some point in the past.

my family name is not Anczenko but Ананченко (rus.)/Ananchenko (eng.)/Ananczenko (pol.). My ancestor was exiled to Irkutsk from Warsaw and later the family name was mutilated into its current ukrainian version.

I apologise for my typography mistake. I meant to write Anczewski and not Anczenko.

I was saying that it is just possible that your surname may have been Anczewski in the past. For example i have the surname Szymurski in my family tree - also a rare surname, but due to various forms of handwriting and the fact that priests would write down surnames they way the priest heard them my Szymurski surname comes in many forms eg Szymorski, Szymunski, Szymanski! Szymarski etc. Unfortunately for me Szymanski is a very popular surname so i spend more time eliminating them than finding my ancestors.

So it is worth looking at the Anczewski surnames in geneszukacz just to eliminate them from your surname research list.

You'll find quite few people with the surname Anczewski onthe surname research site of :

But if you type in the surname Ananczewski you will find that the result is nill.

The research for the website http://www.herby.com.pl/ was done around 1998.

Slowly! As the family name is Ananczenko the given webpage www.herby.com.pl provides 2 adults in 1990 Poland surnamed Ananczenko:

Thus, 2 Ananczenko in the Polish town Bydgoszcz/area. Nice to know for Alexander this very rare family name survived in the present-day Poland. Would be a miracle if anybody from Bydgoszcz/area recongise them, and could give personal contact to Alexander.

There are two people on 'nasza klasa' with the surname of Ananczenko:

The second person lives in Gorzow Wlkp. Her maiden surname is Ananczenko and her married surname is Froń (Danuta Froń).

If someone on the forum has a telephone book from Gorzow Wlkp could they please give the telephone number to Alexander.

Well, I can't agree more but I rather think that my version is still true, since my grandmother new that the family name was Ananczewski.

Google actually returns one hit and two people in the same file: some judo competition and two Ananczewski It looks weird - it might be a case where the name could have been misspelled.

As for Ananczenko, there are whole villages populated by Ananczenkos in Belarus. That makes it quite feasible that people with such surname may live in Poland and spell their name as Ananczenko. But that's not my case.
