Need help Trzceciewiec - Goldfeld (Bromberg)
Witam,
excuse me that I´m writing in english.
I´m searching some details about my family.
At the moment I stocked, and had to translate some names form German into possibly polish version of the names. But now after that, I´m searching for "Amalie(?) von Grumbkow" - maybe without "von" or another version with o and not u -> "Grombkow" - she must be born in "Goldfeld, Bromberg" --> Goldfeld = Trzceciewiec
She married "Ignatz (Michael?) Boguslawski" - and had a son called "Wilhelm Michael Boguslawski" *21.03.1874 Goldfeld, Bromberg.
I found Wilhelm Michael Boguslawski here:
http://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php ... t&lang=pol
But here is written that the father was "Ignatz". Am I wrong?
And that it is possible to have "von Grumbkow" in Goldfeld, I found here:
http://books.google.de/books?ei=HS32U4u ... q=goldfeld
Anyone searching in that area and will have some information for me?
I tried also to contact Miroslaw Grabowski who entered the information about "Wilhelm Michael Boguslawski", because there are much more children named in the list he found.
Thank´s for help in advance.
best regards
Oliver

Need help Trzceciewiec - Goldfeld (Bromberg)
Hi, thank you, I found there also a child nr. 7 - Johannes *1877 and the name of the mother is "Grąbkow"
I searched for "Boguslawski" and birth books - than you´ll see it. Sometimes her name is Amelia - Amalia, the last name is Grombkow - Grabkow.
But my grandfather told in his lifetime, that it must be Amalie "von Grumbkow" - that´s why i´m stocking in my research.
Also a german "Famlienbuch" which i have here, said, it must be "Amalie von Grunkopf"
Anyone here who has information about the family "von Grumbkow" from Goldberg?
I think I´ll have to see the birth or marriage details, anyone have this already on hand?
Oliver

Dear Olivier,
Look here
http://poznan-project.psnc.pl
put in: Grumbkow
you will find eg Georg Friedrich Wilhelm von Grumbkow
but the person was evangelic = different church
+
probably army memeber (Leszno - par. wojskowa [Lissa-Militärgemeinde]) = travelling
It looks like some kids married Poles and change their confession into Roman Catholic.
Many evangelical books are now in Germany not in Poland or were destroyed during the war. I suggest look also in the main evangelic archive in Germany.
I guess in every case you need to get the copies of the entry. They can be difficult to read so the indexes may be a bit different.
Be carefull with "von" . In some or many cases "von" could be ommited.
Women's names can also have -owa added after the core name.
I guess every State Archive in Poland will send you a scan for about 5-10 pln per piece (1-2 euro) - write them a mail with the numbers from indexes.
look at the Polish names not only German
Bamberg = Bydgoszcz
Dobsch = Dobrcz
Goldfeld = Trzeciewiec NOT Trzceciewiec
Trzeciewiec was a very small village.
Trzeciewiec was part of the RK Dobrcz Parish so you most probably already found the right people.
read here (Polish)
http://www.dobrcz.info/asp/Nasza_Gmina, ... obrczu,182
http://www.diecezja.bydgoszcz.pl/index. ... arafii/166
here you will find some books from Dobrcz but only till 186x
http://www.szukajwarchiwach.pl/6/257/0/ ... bJednostki
In XVII century it was probably part of Fordon parish św Mikołaja (small map inside)
http://mikolaj.bydgoszcz.pl/czytelnia/h ... fii_hw.pdf
The next nearby parish was Wudzyń / Gross Wodzin
http://www.dobrcz.info/asp/Nasza_Gmina, ... dzynie,250
But in Pelpin the books for Wudzyń were probably destroyed in a fire.
Maybe Dobrcz books exists. I suggest look first in the State Archives.
Check the marriage entry (look for Amalie confession).
Most probably von Grumbkow were evangelic so you need to find the Ev.Parish covering the village if you want to follow the name.
regards
Piotr

Olivier,
above Justyna attached a link to the Pelpin Archive.
It looks like the RK books for both Dobrcz and Wudzyn are avaliable in this archive. So the info about Wudzyn was not correct.
So you can try both state and diocesan archives.
BTW
on the www.szukajwarchiwach.pl you can find some evangelic parish books from the Bydgoszcz county
http://www.szukajwarchiwach.pl/search?q ... esp&order=
eg nearby Fordon (now part of Bydgoszcz)

Thank´s so far, I got the copy of the Pelpin Archive as a picture per mail.
It is "v Grumbkow" therefore the entries at http://www.ptg.gda.pl are wrong.
I now know that it must be Amalie von Grumbkow and the other one is as far as i can read it, Alwine von Grumbkow and..Michael Płotnicki as "Trauzeugen".
Now I have to find them, at "Deutsches Adelslexikon" i could found an Emil born in Goldfeld (Trzeciewiec) in April 1844 - but no other von Grumbkow´s.
I will check all of your links you postet above, thank´s for that.
If anyone has more information, I appreciate your private message.
regards
