Thank you for getting back to me. That's interesting that it's in Russian (not Polish). I posted another page for translation and I'm not sure if it's Russian or Polish but it's the marriage between Franciszek Wojciechowski and Salomea Gajek. It seems like everything for my ancestors I've found in the village of Krznowloga Wielka but this posting is in a town called Brwinow. Do you know if Brwinow and Krzynowloga wielka are close to each other ?

Documents were written in Russian from 1868 to 1914 - it is because of Polish history...

Marriage between Franciszek Wojciechowski and Salomea Gajek is also in Russian - can anybody help Margie?

It is about 150 km from Krzynowłoga Wielka to Brwinów: https://www.google.pl/maps/dir/Krzynow% ... 142598!5i1

So probably your ancestors used to travel.

Well, thank you so much for your help. I'll keep checking back to see if anyone can translate in Russian for me. Do you know much about the village of Krzynowloga Wielka? I looked at it on google earth and it looks like a very small farm community. I just found out my great grandparents (Wojciechowski and Glowicka) who immigrated to the US around 1904 were from Krzynowloga Wielka so I'm excited to find out more info about the place.

& Franciszka Glowicka 21 years old born in the village of Rembielin, daughter of Ksawery Glowicki & Rozalia Dec

I suggest to check out this marriage;
1855 1 Antoni Wojciechowski Franciszka Gajkowska Chorzele
They might be the parents of Franciszek Wojciechowski.

Thank you for your help. I really appreciate the translation. I did look into the marriage you suggested and the parents of Antoni Wojciechowski and Franciszka Gajkowska are not the same parents on the marriage record of my great grandfather Frank Wojciechowski. Do you know if Gajek and Gajkowska are different forms of the same last name?

Gajek and Gajkowska are very simillar and it is possible that the first form of last name was changed (intentionally or by mistake) and then somebody started using the second form of it.

Let's take the marriage between Franciszek Wojciechowski and Salomea Gajek as an example.
- Salomea was born in 1853 in Brwinow as Salomea "Gajkowska" to Wawrzyniec & Franciszka Nowak.
- Her parents got married as Wawrzyniec Gajek & Franciszka Konkowska alias Nowak in 1837 in Brwinow.
- Wawrzyniec was born as Wawrzyniec Gajak in 1816 in Rokitno, but his siblings were registered as Gajewska, Gajkoski......and so on and so on
