Hello,

I just knew that as we find records on the "Lechelt" family we might find tragic events such as complications at birth. Hugo was born on the 12th, his mother died on the 20th (likely complications from birth) and then little Hugo passed on the 25th. So sad

My family has a very bad and rare blood disorder. When my son was born, there was also complications, however against all odds and a wonderful medical team, both mother and child survived. Around the same time a cousin of mine, at the young age of 20 passed away due to a blood clot developed and initially they did not know why or how. Then I was tested for blood clotting disorders and and then the answers were found. Our family was then all tested and most have the disorder and now have to take medication to thin our blood.

Over the years, we have always known that it was "Lutz" or "Lechelt" who have passed down the disorder. My research here with you, has basically ruled out Lutz as the carrier so the only one left now is Lechelt. We now have the first clue to confirm that this might be right.

Sadly my son, at 28 years of age also developed a blood clot and passed away. Even when medicated, tragedy can still strike.

I would really love to "help" others who might have the same disorder, and if the Lechelt family is the carrier, then maybe, we might help them to learn a little about the Antithrombin III deficiency before it is too late.
