Help for reading metriky

Hello, I just find the birth certificate of my great-great grandmother (Agnieska Lor, in Klonowa, 1840, n° 36).
Could someone please give me the names, dates and place appearing on this birth certificate. Thanks a lot.

Which Klonowa are you looking at ?
If I look at Klonowa (near Sieardz) in woj. Lodzkie for births in 1840 ( http://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php ... t&lang=pol) then record #36 is for Zofia Głuch. Please provide the link to the actual record that you want translated.

1840 birth certificate No 36 from Klonowa is not for Agnieszka Lor. The childs name is Zofia Głuch. I think you have misred the name of the witness which is Franciszek Lor.

Yes, it's a mistake but it is difficult for me to read polish and find the right metriky.

There is an Agnieszka LAUR/LOR born in Klonowa (in the nearby village of Pustkowie Laury, in house #2) on 10 January 1832 at 6 a.m.

Birth certificate #7.

Father was Wawrzyniec (age 30). Mother was Julianna Świętek (age 30).

On Agnieska's daugther birth certificate n° 64(Antonina Jamroza), Agnieska was 33 years old at the birth. So I think that Agnieska was born about 1840. What do you think?

If the person that interests you is the mother of Antonina Jamroza, you may want to start with her marriage record to Wojciech. It is located in Klonowa marriages from 1867, entry #13. She was a widow at that time (after Wojciech Trela). Her age is listed as 30 (i.e. born ~1837). Parents - Wawrzyniec Lor and Marianna nee Świątek. Born in Pustkowie Lory.

Mother: Salomea Woytaskówna (it means: Woytas's daughter, modern spelling may be Wojtas, but it's just mine suggestion), 23 y. o., his spouse.

Baptised: Wojciech

Godparents: Grzegorz Ma?ial?ki and Maryanna (Marianna?) Ługowska

Mother of this child was Salomea Woyłurkówna/Wojłarkowa

I am sorry, but this seems to be wrong. Please chceck the shapes of the "A" and "Ł" letter in the line under mother's name, in the word "małżonki".

I am sure that this is letter "Ł"
See the world "odbyłem" (2 line under). Letter "T" has different shape.

I do not think one can be sure either way. The priest did not carefully distinguish between the letters t and ł. Details like that may be the least of Barouka's problems. If you look at the records of other children of this couple from Klonowa, they seem to have the mother listed under a different family name in each of them.
