I'm from Latvia, Riga, and I'm searching for new matches in my Familie tree. I have an information about my ancestors, who came from Poland to Latvia around mid or late 18-th century.
Their family name is registred in Latvian old church books as GARSCHKE, GARSHKIJ, later GARŠKIS.
The oldest family members are Andsche Garschke and his son Andrees Garshkij (b.1775.- d.09.12.1826.).
I received my DNA test (made by My Heritage) about month ago and put my kit Nr. for serching on Family Tree DNA to find matches. And there I found Mr. Grzegorz Krupinski from Poland as my 3rd - 5th cousin. In a section about Ancestral Surnames he has written, that he has surname GORSKI (in Suwalki, Poland) in his Family tree.
I wrote him an e-mail few weeks ago, which is in that post, but didn't receive anything. Maybe it has changed...
I searched name of Grzegorz Krupinski on Facebook and google. There are too many of them!
I would be very pleased and grateful, if someone in this group could give me advice how I could conect with that man!
With very small and at the same time high expectations will be waiting for some good news!
