Lysik
Hi!
Halina Lysik 1950 Otwock Warsawa is/was my mother!
I am trying to trace back my Polish lineage so I would take any information in regards to her side with open arms.
I see that there is also another person trying to get information in regards to the Lysik family, however I am not able or allowed to send her a mail
As you have figured out I can't write Polish but speak it good and read somewhat.
Kind Regards,
Marcel

Lysik, Łysik -Otwock
Hi Marcel,
at the moment no one offers help in your search.
I suggest methods that can bring some good results in your search.
To the first steps in Poland in the search, you can use English.
You probably know, that your grandfather [and mother] had the surname Łysik - in Polish spelling. Łysik was in the old days, the son of a person with the surname Łysy = bald-headed in English.
Only surname Łysik [in Polish spelling] occurs in the Otwock region, use only this notation in letters!!
Probably your mother Halina's birth certificate is in the Civil Registry Office/Urząd Stanu Cywilnego in the City of Otwock.
Polish offices do not carry out genealogical searches. However, send your registered letter to the Office [R-letter, indicating your serious interest] with a request for a copy of your mother's birth certificate and the opportunity to contact her relatives who are still alive. You should receive an answer to such a letter, explaining what you should do next [perhaps in Polish, the legal official language].
Send letter to;
Urząd Stanu Cywilnego
ul. Armii Krajowej 5
05-400 Otwock
Poland
Also send letters asking for help in finding mother and your relatives to;
Łysik Bożena
Bookkeeping service
Stefana Żeromskiego 207
05-400 Otwock
Poland
Łysik Adam
Inter-Bud
ul. Stefana Żeromskiego 156A
05-400 Otwock
Poland
With the best wishes - Wladyslaw

Thank you for your answers!
I can read somewhat polish so that should not be an issue if they respond back in Polish.
Thanks again for your assistance, much appreciated!
Best Regards,
Marcel

RE: Lysik, Łysik -Otwock
Hello!
Making a new try to get help from some of the members on this page. I have found out the following but still need some help.
My Grandfathers name was Józef Łysik
10 AUG 1908 • Wiewiórów, Mazowieckie, Polen - 1996
My Grandmothers name was Stanisława Skroboń
1919–2000
My 1-3 cousins name is Jerzy Pałysa and his oldest know ancestor is Maciej Pałyszka 1765 - ???
Other names within my tree that I am related to are: Marianna Galbarczyk, Andrzej Pawlikowska, Helena Rak
So if any one can direct me to a page where I can search these connections and other surnames that I have found it would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Marcel

Now you need the birth certificate of Józef Łysik from 1908.
His parents' data will be there.
This file/act is at the local registry office (USC)
But where is the village of Wiewiórów? I found only one - in the Łódź Voivodeship - the Radomszczański poviat, Lgota Wielka commune/municipality
USC = Urząd Stanu Cywilnego
