Starzynki in Poland

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

I will write in English as I do not speak Polnish, but I will add a google translate version in Polnish on the end of this post.

In a roman catholic marriage certificate in a german archive from May 1694 I found one of my ancestors.
Johannes Gregor Bräuer. His father is named Georg Bräuer and his wife Sofia.
The father is from Starsinki in Poland.

As I found around 1690 Poland was together with Lithuania and also parts of the modern Belarus.

On radzima.net and http://dir.icm.edu.pl/pl/Slownik_geogra ... Tom_XI/281 I found a lot of Starzynki in the old Poland.
But I don't know which one is it.
Most of them are in Belarus. I found one Starzynki near Lodz, Wartkowice and one near Neple near to the Bug river near Brest.

Til now I did not find any church books of these Starzynkis. I also don't know which church was responsible.

If anybody could give me further information on how to proceed with my search, knows church books or information about german immigrants in the 17th century I would be very glad.

Do tej pory nie znalazłem żadnych ksiąg kościelnych tych Starzyńskich. Nie wiem też, który kościół był odpowiedzialny.

Gdyby ktokolwiek mógł udzielić mi dalszych informacji na temat tego, jak kontynuować poszukiwania, zna księgi kościelne lub informacje o niemieckich imigrantach w XVII wieku, byłbym bardzo zadowolony.

It could be Starsincki.

But I don't now if my ancestor knew how to write and if the priest knew how to write the word correctly,
as he presumably didn't know any polnish.

What is interesting in the act is, that Johannes Gregorius Bräuer soldier in the "Sachsen-Gotha" Regiment which was lent to Frankonia and his father Georg Bräuer were first named "bene... juvenem" and "bonefati" and then this was erased and written "nobilem et strenuu"

Can You add other names of villages from other pages or year of document?

Hi,

The date of the document is 11.5.1694. It is from the church book of Eschenbach in the archive Eichstätt. Nowadays it is called Wolframs-Eschenbach in southern Germany.
Sorry, I can't add other names, this is the only photo I made in Archive.
But In the scan below on the right side in the second last line you see Eschenbaci, this is the town of the church book called Eschenbach.

As the book is from Germany there are presumably no other references to polnish villages. It is very rare that a person from Poland is mentioned.
My ancestor came with a military unit belonging to Saxony.
