Bester Immigrant Family
Hello there!
I am trying to find information about my ancestors that came do Brazil in September 12, 1908. Family information is that they are from Galizien that at that time was part of Austrian Hungarian Empire.
The family of five people came to Brazil was:
1. Michal Bester (my great-great-grandfather) -> According his grave, he born on September 29, 1882. But some documents in Brazil says that he Born on September 29, 1879.
2. Anna Fidecki (my great-great-grandmother) -> According her grave, she born on July 26, 1874. But some documents in Brazil says that she born on April 08, 1877.
3. Jedrzej Bester (my great-grandfather) -> According his marriage register, he born on October 22, 1901.
4. Jan Bester -> According his marriage register, he born on March 25, 1903.
5. Piotr Bester -> Dead in ship.
According the https://nazwiska-polskie.pl/Bester the places where we can find more Bester than other places is Kosina and Łańcut.
I was looking here, on geneteka, and it seems like all records of Kosina are already indexed, so I am supposing that they are not from Kosina. My next step is verifying in Lancut, but I cannot find the Lancut records online. I looked on AGAD, Szukaj w Archiwach and Archiwum Państwowe w Katowicach.
Here you can find the information that I already found in Brazil: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedig ... e/G4Q6-R99
Any help is welcome. Thank you in advance!

Hello!
Thanks for your help.
I will try to look in these websites.
The single surname of Anna was Fideitski according to Brazilian documents. It is pronounced like Fidecki, but can be Fidecka too.
All the best.
Giovane.

Ola Giovane!
If you don't know where they were from, because brazilian immigration documents say only Galicia, try grobonet.
It's a good way to find where people with this surname were burried.
I found graves with the surname Bester in Tarnów, Jarosław, Kolbuszowa, Łańcut, Przeworsk, Rudnik.

Re: Bester Immigrant Family
Hi, I'm not sure if you are still looking for the information about your family and if that would be any help, but try also looking for surnames Beister, Bejster, Beyster. My family is coming from Bialobrzegi(parish Zolynia) close to Łańcut and the surname I have found in genetyka is changing between my ascentors.

Hello Giovane,
https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.ph ... rdertable=
If you click on scans on the right hand side you can find the birth certificates of your ancestors. Michał Bester—>scan 92, act 47 plus his siblings.
Twins Agata Bester and Katarzyna Bester, scan 77, act 10 and 11
Józef Bester, scan 107, act 6
Balbina Bester, scan 118, act 19
It seems this family moved later from Białobrzegi to Wierzbna near Jarosław as Michał’s younger brother Józef Bester died there in 1891 and Michał’s sister Katarzyna Bester married in 1904 to Józefat Pacuła in Jarosław- Kolegiata.
https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.ph ... rdertable=
You need to search parish Żołynia, village Białobrzegi and parish Jarosław, village Wierzbno to find more information about your ancestors.
Good luck in your search !
Antoni.
