Hello!
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post - I was quite unsure!
I am trying so hard (and failing) to find any record of my Great Grandfather's life in Poland. His name on UK documents was stated as Piotr Teresko, and he listed his father on his wedding certificate as 'Platon Teresko' and Platon's profession before he died as 'Farmer'.
My great grandfather was born October 1 1924 in Poland, he stated Mlawa on his AA driving certificate I believe, and his mother was called Anna/Marie.
On Piotr's father's side (Platon's side) we are unsure of his father and mother's names, except Platon's mother's maiden name would have been Kuczynska as her father was called Nicholas Kuchinski (Mikolaj Kuczynski?)
We've tried every possible search we can, wondering if someone on this thread could maybe offer some new advice or information?

I have no experience searching thru Lithuanian records, but both of your names, Kuczyński and Teresko are present in Lithuanian nobles list, just Google Kuczyński Teresko.
Maybe some other, more experienced genealogists will be willing to help.
Best regards and good luck, Irek

Hi, Teresko name is very, very rare in Poland.
Were you looking on facebook? I will not be surprised if it turns out that all people named Teresko are related.
Latvia?
https://forebears.io/surnames/teresko
The name Platon/Płaton suggests a Russian-speaking origin.
The birth certificate from 1924 is "too young", in Mława (the registry office) it can only be obtained by the closest family.

hello
just wait another 3 years, because of some personal data protection laws, birth data must be older than 100 years before it can be published.
