Help with tracing relatives

Hi, I am from the UK and I am researching my son's family tree. His great great grandfather on his father's side was born in Warsaw on August 15th 1921. During his time in the UK he used the name Alexander Joseph sobotowski however he received the Virtuti Militari and his name is spelled Aleksander sobotowski on the list. I assume it was spelled Aleksander at birth and he used the Western spelling when he moved to the UK.

I use ancestry as my primary source of information and cannot find anything, polish birth records are not available on that website so I don't know how to get his birth information and find out who his parents were. Any help is greatly appreciated

I appreciate your help very much (as always in other cases) but could you share any links to the documents? Or reasons why you consider Aleksander and Waleria Firleng the parents of Alexander Joseph Sobotowski?

As stated many, many times at this forum, you cannot build your tree based on someone's statement. You need to see documents to verify the information.

A co do dokumentów i ich kopii (np certyfikowanych) - wydaje mi się, że np Akt Urodzenia z 1921 roku będzie dostępny np w USC w Warszawie
Podejrzewam, że będzie to wymagało przejścia urzędowej ścieżki (być może przy pomocy zakupionej usługi tj wynajęcia "firmy"), w tym udokumentowania tożsamości i relacji rodzinnych.
Alternatywnie - też (z tego co wiem) udokumentowania zgonu ...a też tego nie widziałem

Before trying to jump into Polish records you should try and obtain as much information from UK records…….

What did the following UK documents specify as his parents' names and place of birth:

His 1951 marriage certificate in Durham.

The file with his application for UK citizenship – his UK Naturalisation Certificate was issued 10 November 1956 – UK Archives reference HO 334/403/44012

His April 2005 death certificate in Stockton.

His UK military service file during WW2 – this can be obtained from:
