Hello all! I hope this is the right place to post this. I want to start the process of obtaining my polish citizenship but first I need to gather more information or documents. My great grandparents were born one in Tarnopol and the other one in Pozoran (or Koninie?). The most relevant things I have from them is passport number (just the number, not the passport), date of birth, birth certificate…
I don’t have any family stories that I know of. Documents in Polish I only have a birth certificate. The rest are in spanish, they’re death certificate, uruguayan ID, marriage certificate (got married in Uruguay), in all those it’s written that they’re Polish. Here is a link with those documents.

Which one of them do I have more chances of finding more information of?
Looking forward to hear from you!
Naty.

Why don’t you scan everything you have and write what you know and post this stuff here.
Be informed, however, that today Tarnopol lies in Ukraine, not in Poland. Pozoran doesn’t sound Polish at all; could it be Poznań? Konin lies in central Poland. Koninie looks to me like a the locative case of Konin, i.e., in Konin. That’s possible if you got it from some Polish document indicating this person’s place of birth, like “born in Konin”, which in Polish would be: “urodzony w Koninie”.
Anyway without details it will be hard to help you.

Do you think looking for Benjamin's documents would be a dead end then? it's no longer Poland?
I would appreciate any advice about which one do I have more chances of finding their documents on. Given then Locations. Thank you in advance. [/url]

I don’t really know. Wait for some one who specializes in this area to come up with a hint. Maybe, start a new thread with Tarnopol in the title to draw attention.Do you think looking for Benjamin's documents would be a dead end then? it's no longer Poland?

Not only record (#11) of Dawid.
IMO: mark/sign in next record ("translation od data") could mean that somebody was interested in getting certificate , rather "nowodays" ('70? '90? '00?) than "before the war". Family of twin sister?

Here is a POSSIBLE Jewish birth record (#42) for Benjamin Braun from the town of Zloczow/Zolochiv. http://agadd.home.net.pl/metrykalia/300 ... 2_0207.htm
Zloczow/Zolochiv is about 25 kms south east of Busk.
Benjamin Braun born 3 April 1908, given the name Benjamin on 13 April 1908. Mother = Scheindel Rosen, father = Peretz Braun.
What were the names of Benjamin’s parents from his marriage and death records in Uruguay ?
