Need help with payment to Archiwum Państwowe w Kielcach

Dear users,

Thanks to the forum, I managed to find the birthday metric documents of my grandfather! Archiwum Państwowe w Kielcach is asking 1 USD to send me verified copies via e-mail.

I checked the rates for the SWIFT payment in a bank which can send money to Poland. It charges min 30 USD for the transaction and gives no guarantees. So the cost of skany is 1 USD but the commission is 30 USD! Crazy.

May I ask a help fom forum users to pay 1 USD to Archiwum Państwowe via
Swift / IBAN to help me. I will compensate it somehow (gift cards etc.)

The costs of a scan of metric is 1 USD and they send it per email.
One verified copy they send probably by letter to the postal address with the original archive seals.

What type of document are you referring to?

There is no "official confirmation from the archive of the metric scans".
Archives don't use electronic signature. You can add "confirmation" to any scan, only electronic signature on file with scan (or scan) can confirm the authenticity.

f.e. in USC you can get "elektroniczna wersja odpisu ASC"., This is not scan of paper version od document. This is elctronic document. There is no such technology in archives (IMO).


As i wrote- you need lawyer, not broker for payment, but legal advice plus knowledge about procedures in offices, archives etc

but..this is post , not the legal advice:)
