Moszpañski?

Unlike other countries, Poland didn't have specific surnames for illegitimate offspring; children would just be given their mother's surname, and if the mother got married later and the child was adopted, there was an option for them to take the name after the adoptive father.
Moszpan, or Mospan, has very interesting connotations. In everyday language, it was used to address someone of a higher status, akin to "my lord" or "sir" in English. Later, this evolved into a slightly sarcastic way of describing someone who carries themselves like an aristocrat without being one.
This might mean that Maryanna or her parent were also illegitimate by some member of the upper crust, or maybe they were just aloof.
Whatever the reason it's a very interesting surname!
