Searching for identification documents (IDs, Passports) - Kurżyk/Kępa

Post autor: edturq »

Hello everyone,

I am looking for information about my great-grandparents who were born in Poland in the late 1890s. I would like to know if it is possible to find copies of their identification documents, such as passports (paszporty), identity cards (dowody osobiste), or residence records (rejestr mieszkańców).

I have no original documents left in my family. Here are the details I have:

Name: Kurżyk

First name: Antoni

Date and place of birth: 1895/Wielgomłyny/par. Chelmo (akt 114) : https://ibb.co/mCq5ykc5

Spouse: Weronika Kępa

Date and place of birth : 1898/Szczepocice Prywatne/par. Radomsko (akt 153) : https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... %2C3625600

My ancestors emigrated to France in 1922/1923 aproximately and they lived in France until death but never became French citizens. They remained Polish citizens all their lives. I am particularly interested in finding consular records (akta konsularne) or passport applications.

My questions are:

Is it possible to get such things ?

Which service should I contact to find passport applications or ID records ?

Are these records usually digitized ?

Thank you very much for your help! Maximilien
