Stella Sophia (Wozniak) Horchos, 80, died June 1, 2008 at the VNA Hospice CMC Hospital, Scranton.

Born in Dupont May 16, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lottie (Boyanowski) Wozniak. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, and the Christian Mothers Rosary Society. She graduated from Dupont High School and the Empire Beauty School. In her earlier years, she operated Jim’s Market along with her husband, Jim; afterward, she operated her own beauty shop in Scranton (Stella’s Beauty Shop).

Stella also worked many years in the local garment industry at Center Fashions, Dupont, and Laura Fashions, Avoca. Her last employment was with the Pittston Area School District. Stella was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4909, Dupont, and The Polish American Citizens Club, Dupont. She was also an avid member and dancer with the Polkacholics and the Polka-Lites.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan and husband, Joe Sandy, Springbrook Township; son, James and wife, Susan Horchos, Pittston; brother, Frank Wozniak, Dupont; granddaughters Nicole and Angela Sandy; Valerie, Lori and Samantha Horchos; Chrissy and husband, Cory Hoffman; great-grandchildren Tacoma, Denver and Sky Hoffman. She is also survived by her loving companion and dance partner, Edward “Benny” Telipski; nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James S. Horchos, who died February of 1988; and a brother, John Wozniak.
Funeral services were June 6 with Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. Interment, parish cemetery.

Osób z tym nazwiskiem jest bardzo mało ( w Polsce to wszyscy z jednej rodziny), więc podejrzewam że te osoby znalezione na ancestry to też jedna z gałęzi w moim drzewie .
