Looking for info. on Hastia Halabuski

Post autor: carljoki »

I am trying to locate where my grandmother came from in Europe , perhaps with the information I can supply some person may know of her family. I knew her as Anastasia Halabecki (Hastia Halabuski) , born about 1889 her father was Wazil Halabuski , mother Mazija Slobigan . Anastasia came to Canada about 1906 to Port Arthur (Thunder Bay ) Ontairo , where she married Kazimer Rudiak(born 1885) in 1908. Kazimer’s father was Casimier Rudak mother Wazila they had 3 children Michael Rudiak (Rhoda) , Anaka (Anne Wakeford) Rudiak and Maria (Mary Joki )Rudiak. Anastasia had 3 brothers Fred (Canada) , Steve (Canada) , and Michael (who lived in the Ukraine) and a sister Annie (Mary) Jaroway (Canada). The cemetery records show that Anastasia was born in Pomeria Ukraine , and the obituary for her sister Annie as born in Perimylow Ukraine , the actual spelling of these places may not be correct.
Any information on Anastasia or her family would be greatly appreciated.

I can be reached at this email address carljoki0@gmail. com

Thank you.

Carl Joki.

Perimylov in Ukrainian language it's Peremyliv.I think that your grandmother Anastasia was born in Peremiłów (Peremyliv), not Pomerie
I think there is not any willage Pomerie.
