So, not a register - as you wrote, but registers.
Access to such registers is not free, so it is impossible to check it yourself.
Contacting every administration is time-consuming and unreasonable.
Also, not all cemeteries have an electronic searchable register.
The search area needs to be narrowed down.
Besides, on the grobonet.com website there are only municipal cemeteries and (probably) two parish cemeteries.
There are no cemeteries in Bydgoszcz on Mogily.pl.

I have also checked the cmentarnik.net ( parish cemetry ul. Cechowa ) and cmentarze.bydgoszcz.pl ( municipal cemetries ) websites and still no result.
Regards,
Antoni.

Of course.
Anyway,cemce.bydgoszcz.pl is the same as grobonet.com.
This has already been checked before.
I checked all publicly available electronic databases.
Only then did I check USC and newspapers in the library.

Pborovyk, you could attach whole photos.
Both the reverse of the photo and the page with the metric.
The metric given is for the birth of a daughter, whose name should be in another column, which is not in the photo.
The father is Zygmunt Franciszek Ostrowski
Mother is Jadwiga Wanda Załuska
Since Zygmunt had a daughter, it would be good to know her name.
That would help with the search.
Zygmunt Ostrowski lived in Bydgoszcz in 1937,
profession "kamasznik" - craftsman making upper parts of shoes.
Probably not the one you're looking for.

After the First World War especially after 1921 more refugees, especially landowners and theirs family from the Russian governments like Mińsk, Podole, Volhyn or Kijów settled in Bydgoszcz. I suggest to check the registration files in the local Archive.

We can check in the archive, but it's good to have a complete set of information, not half a metric and a piece of a photo.
We don't have anything certain yet.
We don't even know what year the daughter was born.

Probably there is something more about the daughter in the IPN, but it is not simply to check it.

Yes, it may be in the IPN, it may be in the archives, it may be in many other places.
However, we need to know the name, and we don't know that, because Pborovyk showed only part of the metric.
We don't even know if this is the metric of "our" Zygmunt's daughter.
He was allegedly born in Ukraine and the daughter's metric is from Moscow.

Thank you very much.
Now we know something more.
We can keep looking.
I have half of the cemeteries checked.
By Easter maybe something can be established.

I checked all the cemeteries in Bydgoszcz.
The results are
here.
In the 1950s, only one Zygmunt Ostrowski was buried in Bydgoszcz.
He died on 20 June 1955.
Maybe after Easter I'll find out when he was born.
Then it will be known whether this could be the wanted man.

It has therefore been possible to determine 99% the resting place of Zygmunt Ostrowski.
I have updated the WWW page.
In the 1950s, the books did not record the date of birth, but the age of the deceased.
Zygmunt was 83 years old when he died.
This shows that the deceased Sigmund Ostrowski was born in 1872.

Theofilos.
Thank you !!!
It is sad, that the grave was not preserved.
We lived in USSR and could't visit Poland(The noble past was hidden).
PS. You tree is very closest to real. Some mistakes in Vladimir Borovyk tree(he didn't update it yet).
Irena and Halina are sister with one mother(Zygmunt sister). Cieselska and Żegilewicz.

Żegilewicz, I am lookig for in another topic.
It is one, who saved in Poland from 1920. Paulin was brother Halina father.

Unfortunately, tombstones are removed when the place is not paid for after a long time.
Zygmunt probably did not have a large family in Poland. There was not even an obituary.
I added a new tree at the end of the
page.
P.S.
