Hi Balthasar,

Thank you for the Emma Rothe's marriage link; I'm trying to access it and get a translation. If Emma Rothe married my Teodor Kind (my grandfather), then I have relatives that don't know me and I don't know them. I would like to find them, if possible.

Also, I'm not sure what the second set of information is about Ida Janowicz. When using google translate, it mentions reparations. Is this correct? If so, for what?. Ida was my grandmother Pauline's sister.

Do you have an idea of how I can continue researching the Kind/Rothe/Buttner families -- to see if they had children? I don't see anything on geneteka. More mysteries to solve!

after world war II in Wilhelmshaven Ida Janowitz had applied for compensation for damage to property in poland. Files you found under No. 484 / J483 in the archive in Bayreuth / Bavaria.

I find all of this information fascinating and a mystery. Teodor Kind didn't marry my grandmother Pauline Beschorner, but they had a child....my father. Just found out not too long ago that Teodor was my grandfather....and he was married at the time my father was born (1920 in Lodz). Would like to find out more about the Kind/Rothe marriage, might have had children (my father's half brothers/sisters).

They were both born in Poland, however, I do not have their birth certificates and they are deceased. My father was born in 1920, this year he would be 101 yrs old; my mother was born in 1924, 97. I believe I can only obtain a birth certificate on my dad. Where would I have to start?

Hi,
You can have both certificates as you are a close direct descendant (child-parents). I think to make it easier, find out where they were born, you can apply in this city for your parents cenrtificates. (I assume you can prove they were your parents with your own certificate for example)

My father, Bronislaw Alfred Berszoner/Beschorner was born on July 18, 1920 in Rokicie (Lodz?), Poland. mother named Pauline Beschorner/Beszorner. Does anyone know how/where I can obtain his birth certificate? Thanks much!
