Hello,

I found something.

http://www.nowaiwiczna.com/historia-now ... 25,pl.html

A short excerpt from history of Iwiczna for you:

Iwiczna was settled by famielies of evang.- augsb. religion from Württemberg and Pfalz in 1801-1806 years. At first all religion ceremonies were celebrated in a Piaseczno catholic parish. Usually names of a new villiges were called as that one left in their homeland, but after 1820 a Congress Kingdom government turned them into polish names.

Families of colonists who came to Iwiczna:

From Pfaltz: Hansen Dettioff (+5 persons), Braun Caspar (+5), Albrecht Christian (+6), Lehr George (+ 8 ), Wagner Adam (+7), Meyer Caspar (+7), Zeh Johann (+ 8 ), Kóhler Michael (+2), Kuhn Yalentin (+3), Lutz Adam (+3), Schwarz Thomas (+3), Schwarz Emst (+2), Lutz Johann (+3), Meyer Georg Adam (+3), Gottiitt Johann (+3), Wetzel Peter (+4), Sinn Johann (+1), Unterzober Johann (+1), Scheffelmeyer Jacob (+3), Deychert Johann Nicolaus (+1) i Wagner Michael (+3).

From Württemberg: Mutschler Friedrich (+5 osób), Fischer Schulhalter (+3), Pfeifle Johann George, Birkicher Gottfried (+6), Meble Friedrich (+4), Lange Benedict (+5), Hauser Jacob (+2), Haberer George (+5), Klein George (+4), Leibbrand Jonathan (+9), Schilling Johann (+4), Schwarz Jacob (+6), Tallmann Johann Peter (+6), Herb Friedrich (+2), Schmidt Friedrich (+6), Frankę Andreas (+5), Eisele Matthias (+7), Gottiitt Johann (+3), Kóhler Jacob (+2) oraz HummelPeter(+7).
-----------

88. Stara Iwiczna (Old Iwiczna ) Colony
1. Piaseczno, 2.II.1809 at 9 am
2. Jan Lutz, a colonist from Stara Iwiczna, 45 years old
3. male child born in Stara Iwiczna in a house no 4 on 29.I.1809
4. lawfull wife Anna Marianna Franciszka Reychowa (I do not know - nee Reych or primo voto Reychowa) secundo voto Lutz, 34 years old
6. JAN
6. Witnesses: Jan Lutz, 23 years old, tiller and Maciej Hummel 38 years old, colonist, both from Stara Iwiczna.
The father and witnesses are well-known to the undersigned Civil Register officer.

79. Aufterdinge Colony
1. Jeruzal 9.XII.1819 at 11 am
2. Dawid Lutz, colonist from Aufterdinge Colony, 32 years old
3. female child born in a house under no 20 on 8.XII.1819 at 6 am
4. lawfull wife Elżbieta nee Sznayder, 28 years old
5. KATARZYNA WERONIKA
6. Witnesses: Krzysztof Keysner 31 years old and Michał Klata 30 years old, colonists from Aufterdinge

The name of Aufterdinge is very similar to a place named Ofterdingen in Badden-Württemberg. May be they came from there?

Birth Record Translation - Lutz

Post autor: Mickelow »

Hello,

This is most interesting, and exactly what I have been looking for. Last night I had printed out a timeline which includes all of the Lutz records we have found thus far and in that i was attempting to organize the "Colony" names in order to pin down the possible origin of my Lutz family(s)

Your direction above is most helpful and very exciting to see "Lutz" specifically on the lists.

Now comes the bigger task to get to those Names on the Lists. We are so close Monika !! Record 88 above is still hard to place in what I have for so many Lutz names started with "Jan" which ended up as "Jan Michal" for instance.

Second record is very good, it is a perfect hit in line with what I have established thus far.

Overview;

Krzysztof Fryderyk Lutz - Elzbieta (Klara) Schaberin (from unknown)

sons David Lutz - Jan Michal Lutz - (Aufterdinge)

Jan Michal Lutz -Anna Maria Kaut (Dlugokaty)

Jakub Lutz - Rosyna (Rosalia Ewa) Lechelt (Michalów)

Michal (Michael) Jakub Lutz - Paulina Emilia Lechelt (Michalów and Wiskitki)

I have still work to do, for Wiskitki is missing data from 1870-1880 and I would like to find more births on the brothers David and Jan Michal to confirm their origins as well.

So it appears that our Lutz might be German - Which is something we have never known - It really feels rewarding to take these old records and bring to "Life" lives past. I could not do this without you.

A birth for translation - early colony - Lutz #115

http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.ph ... =222&y=573

Also death record #59 - Might be mother to Jan Michal and David - Krystyna

http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.ph ... =230&y=625

and later record for Lutz - #61

Hello

Could David's children be born in same place just spelled differently?

ADAM SAMUEL - Born 1810 - Offterdingen Colony
Katarzyna Weronika - Born 1819 - Aufterdinge Colony

Sound wise they would appear to be the same

and for translation please for Lutz marriage - #1

http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.ph ... 1986&y=534

The following record from Annex looks good also - Has Lutz & Lechelt in same record.

Birth Record Translation - Lutz

Post autor: MonikaMaru »

Hello,

I am sure it was the same place. Many colonists were illiterate and they often spoke broken Polish or indistinctly. Names of villiges and of persons many times were spelled differently in a lot of other records because an officer/priest wrote down what he had heard. Usually I keep names how they were written.

I do not know well enough but it looks that Ofterdingen was named in Polish - Budy (may be it was Michałów Budy or Budy-Michałów). Budy means - something as sheds, shanties or huts.

1. Budy - Michałów
1. Jeruzal, 22.I.1826 at 8 am
2. Daniel Hauser 40 years old and Krzysztof Mesner 37 years old, colonists from colony of Michałów, not relatives
3. JAN LUTZ, a bachelor, a clothier, born and lived in Colony of Michałów, son of Stefan (Stephan) and Katarzyna nee Blenschin? both lived in Michałów, 20 years old
4. KRYSTYNA FAUSER, maiden, daughter of Jan and Anna, farmers from colony of Michałów, born in colony of Michałów and there lived with her parents, 18 years old,
5. three banns
6. verbal acceptance of parents of both sides
on a margine: no objections to contract a marriage and no antenuptial agreement

Province of Warszawa
District of Rawa
Evang.-augsb. parish in Rawa
Copy attested
(to marriage record no 3)

1. Rawa, 24.II.1835 at 1:30 pm
2. Gotlieb Sass, a farmer from Michałów, 39 years old
3. Mathias Matthes, 29 years old and Adam Lutz, 24 years old, both workmen from Michałów
4. male, born in Michałów on 18.I.1835 at 10 pm
5. lawfull wife Anna Rozyna nee Zerb, 24 years old
6. WILHELM GOTLIEB
7. Gotlieb Marquandt, a bachelor from Karolinów and Anna Rozyna Loechelt, maiden from Długokąty
Delay in making-up the birth record because of a long way to a parish.

According to the law a dead-line was 8 days from a birth.

Birth Record Translation - Lutz

Post autor: Mickelow »

Dzień dobry, Monika,

I very much appreciate translations as written. In order to find those hard to find records that are hidden due to incorrect spellings, you have to learn the variations of how things are spelled or might sound. Without learning these, certain records might get lost and never found.

First record above still does not fit in my family line, but it is still a keeper for it suggest (hints) that my parent couple Lutz, " Krzysztof Fryderyk and Elzbieta (Klara) Schaberin" might have had yet another son "Jan" to add to David and Jan Michal.

I am missing the marriage of Jakub lutz and Rosyna (Rosalia Ewa) Lechelt and the second record helps in that we now learn she was a maiden in Feb 1835, she was from Długokąty, and last their son Michal (Michael) Jakub Lutz was born in 1837 so the marriage was likely 1835-1836.

I will go back to Jeruzal and Wiskitk anexes and search for the elusive Marriage record of Jakub and Rosyna :)

Pozdrawiam,
Yvette

After searching Jeruzal again, I did not find the marriage there, but I did find this death record which might be helpful, #59 (reads Lut but you never know)

http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.ph ... 221&y=1767

thank you
yvette
