Searching for birth records in Bialowieza

I'm searching for the birth records and any related family records for the late Edward Ruta, a relative. The only document I have is a baptism record that states he was baptised in Bialowieza, presumably Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus on 6/6/1927. I don't know for sure that he was born in Bialowieza but his birth date was only 3 months prior, 19/3/1927 so I assume so. Parents were Wladyslaw Ruta and Sabiny (nee Witkowska).
Would somebody be able to point me in the right direction?

Hi, are you saying that is the church where he was baptised? I thought it was this one

because it was after 1926 (albeit just a year after).

Białowieża (in 1927) was independent parish in 1927, but if you are looking for older (than 1926) documents - try in documents of parish Narew.

Ok, thank you. At the moment just looking for by grandfather's record of birth (1927), but will certainly look into Narew afterwards for more family information, thank you.
Forgive me, I don't speak Polish, do you have any pointers of how I can find the birth record?

I have a copy of his British passport (became a citizen in the 70s) and a copy of his baptism certificate but nothing else. How else can I prove I'm his grandson, and who do I prove it to?

When you follow legal procedure (acc. the law you have right to get any ascendants certifate birth/marr./death which are not available in "public circulation") you have to prove fact that you descendant.
Not "relative" - descendant (or siblings).
You are loking for birth records of Edward Ruta, but you have some document "document I have is a baptism record that states he was baptised in Bialowieza"

Ok, so I have evidence that he is my grandfather (mine and my father's birth certificate, listing Edward as my grandfather). Could you tell me where I can apply to get a record of his birth?

Włodzimierz is very right. First try to make a phone call. Different USC have different rules, but sometime it was enough to just make a call to obtain photo of a document. Sometimes they didn't want to share one via mail/mms
