Cześć. I need some guidence in order to expand my research. I'm looking for any kind of document (birth acts, certificates) that help me as evidence of my grandfather's Polish citizenship. He was born in Korsów (Brody) close to Lwów, in 1910. His name was Adam Howorka. I was working with a Polish lady who helped me to find some very interesting documentation up until now, but sadly we couldn't find his birth act. It looks like the records from Korsów from 1910 are missing from the Lwów Archive. What can you recommend me? Is that the only Archive in which I can lookup? Did anybody here just by chance had to look for those records in the past? I would really apreciate you help and advice. Dziękuje bardzo.

Edit: I checked the collections in FamilySearch, and all the Korsów collections in this site http://www.agad.gov.pl/inwentarze/testy.html but couldn't find anyting.

well, I can't be sure because I have to trust the documentation I have, but at least that is what he always declared in formal documents. I have no other clue to follow.

Korsów was in parish Leszniow. There is a microfilm 2006976 on Family Search. There is info about Adam Howorka who was born in 1904 on 24th December, but only father is added-Ludovic. If you want a photo, send the email by priv message.

Yes. We found that record long time ago, his father's name is the same, Ludovic, but the year doesn't match. My grandfather emigrated in 1929 being 19 years old. We assumed that 'Adam' was an older brother of his who died because he olny had sisters of which he told to our family.

Dziękuje za radę. I'm looking for guidance more than anything. To know what kind of archives can I query, in which country there's more possibilties to find something based on the experience of the people in this forum. To know what kind of professional can help me the best in this kind of research. I already paid to a firm in Poland to help me with this, they do genealogical research and they found very interesting things but we still need more papers in order to start the citizenship confirmation process.
