I have ordered a copy of the orginal Social Security application, many times. It is a little expensive (USD$30), but it can be informative. I personally like the copy of the original application more than the transcript, as it is more informative. I last ordered one online in September 2022, and received the pdf file two days later by email. Some of the copies I have ordered in the past have place of emplyment too, though usually the ones I ordered were from about 1936; latest I ordered was completed by the deceased in 1946, and had no employment information.
