How I can find his grob (place or number) without official request.
I don't have full documents about our relatives, not anought to official request.

How do you know that he died on 12 May 1956?

I think that is clear that Sigismund was the son of Franz (otczestvo).
If he hadn’t any descendents, I think that this tomb didn’t exist. I suggest to ask in the local Archive about the Register of the inhabitants in Bydgoszcz.

I suggest to check the Register of 1913 Year

I know about him all before Poland to 1920, (but without documents, only birth-death date)

In the local newspapers of Bydgoszcz in 1956, there was no obituary of Zygmunt.

The reliability of the death information must first be checked.

It could be that he died elsewhere, the death was registered elsewhere and he was only buried in Bydgoszcz.

In Poland lived relatives who knowed him and gave foto to my grandmother in 1960 after his death, they said he lived in Bydgoszch(but possible died in another place)
Relatives died too and that all what I have.

Maybe I can get to the 1956 phone book around Easter and find the name Ostrowski there. Then, based on the street, determine the parish.
Was he a Catholic?

It might be worth to check the register of all cemetries in Bydgoszcz as the grave itself may no longer exist today because according to the Polish law if the family does not pay for the burial plot after 20 years someone else could be buried in the same plot. In such a case the name of the first person buried there might not be available in an on-line grave search.

There is not one register, you would need to contact each cemetry administration in Bydgoszcz separately and check their records. It takes some effort and time.

Yes, you right. It would be helpful to know if Zygmunt was Catholic. I have checked the Grobonet.com and mogily.pl websites and I could not find a grave of Zygmunt Ostrowski who died in 1956. It is very likely that his grave does not exist anymore if he was really buried in Bydgoszcz.
