English? pokrewieństwo trzeciego stopnia

Hello,
I need help understanding a phrase, in Polish, in a marriage registry record. It is the marriage of my grandfather, Jan Krassowski, and my grandmother, Bronisława Apolonia Wyszyńska (the link to the record, #15, in Geneteka is https://metryki.genealodzy.pl/index.php ... 15-016.jpg
With the help of Google scholar I have tried to transcribe the hand-written Polish document and a phrase, near the bottom states:
"Trzydziestego marca i szóstego kwietnia roku bieżącego oraz po udzieleniu dyspensy przez kurią Biskupią w Łomży z dnia 9 kwietnia 1924 roku za No 2525/24 na zachodzące pokrewieństwo trzeciego stopnia z obojga stron."
(I don't speak Polish, so please excuse this rendering)
In English this means something like:
"March thirtieth (and April sixth) of the current year and after the dispensation was granted by the Episcopal Curia in Łomża on April 9, 1924 under No. 2525/24 for third-degree kinship on both sides."
It sounds like my grandparents needed a dispensation to marry because they had common ancestors. The part I am trying to understand is specifically:
"...pokrewieństwo trzeciego stopnia z obojga stron."
I am thinking that "pokrewieństwo trzeciego stopnia" means that one of grandfather's great-grandparents was the sibling of one of my grandmother's great-grandparents? Can you confirm this?
The next part, "z obojga stron", literally means "on both sides." So, does that mean that there were two sets of siblings at the great-grandparent level who were ancestors of my grandparents?
Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this matter.
