"Stateless person"- Bezpaństwowiec

Hello,
My grandfather's cousin, Ignacy Krasowski, immigrated to the USA in 1951 from Great Britain. On the passenger list he is listed as "stateless." He was joining my grandmother in Michigan.
( In FamilySearch this is the passenger list https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:24Y9-WKH )
I don't know how he got to Great Britain, but I've been reading a lot about all of the Polish soldiers who fought alongside the British in World War II, and I was thinking he might have been one of those soldiers who could not return home to Poland (for obvious reasons.)
Do you know of any online databases where you can search for Polish soldiers in the British armed forces in World War II?
Thanks for any information you might have,
Bob Schroeder
