Mocarski and Bojinski
Hello,
I'm from the United States and trying to do some research on my family. My great-grandfather and mother were immigrants from Poland. I believe that they both came to the United States around 1909.
His name was Frank/Francis Mocarski and her name (with birth last name) was I believe Bojinski. Francis was born on July 19, 1892 and Katarina in 1887 (I do not have the full date). From his US paperwork, it looks as if he was originally from a village called Janczewo. I've tried searching through the database but am having trouble finding information about either of them. Would someone be able to assist me?
I apologize for posting in English and if this is the wrong location for my post but also want to say thank you in advance for your assistance. If I can provide anymore information, I'll provide anything that I can.

Re: Mocarski and Bojinski
Siblings of Franciszek Mocarski:

1870 act 4 marriage between Andrzej Mocarski and Anna Kostka, parents of Franciszek Mocarski

1926 act 32 Anna Mocarska née Kostka died, mother of Franciszek Mocarski

Surname Bojinski is not spelled correctly in Polish, it looks it was Americanized. It could be Bodziński, Katarzyna Bodzińska. Do you know where was she from ? What village or town ? If Katarzyna married Franciszek Mocarski in America you should be able to find their marriage certificate and this document might contain more information about her.

Re: Mocarski and Bojinski
You're correct, I believe that Bojinski is incorrect and Americanized, my apologies. I'm not sure where she's from. On the naturalization form that I have from the U.S. he has her just listed as 'Katarina' and where she's born as 'Russia.' I believe that whichever town or village she was born in was under Russian control at the time, same as Francis (I think). But I do believe they were married before coming to the United States.ADrazyk pisze:Siblings of Franciszek Mocarski: https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php? op=gt&lang=pol&bdm=B&w=10pl&rid=B&search_lastname=Mocarski&search_name=&search_lastname2=Kostka&search_name2=&from_date=&to_date=&rpp1=&ordertable= 1870 act 4 marriage between Andrzej Mocarski and Anna Kostka, parents of Franciszek Mocarski https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php? op=gt&lang=pol&bdm=S&w=10pl&rid=S&search_lastname=Mocarski&search_name=&search_lastname2=Kostka&search_name2=&from_date=&to_date=&rpp1=&ordertable= 1926 act 32 Anna Mocarska née Kostka died, mother of Franciszek Mocarski https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php? op=gt&lang=pol&bdm=D&w=10pl&rid=D&search_lastname=Mocarski&search_name=&search_lastname2=Kostka&search_name2=&from_date=&to_date=&rpp1=&ordertable= https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/ska ... 9a1b5bfa99 Surname Bojinski is not spelled correctly in Polish, it looks it was Americanized. Thank you for the links, I'm definitely new to doing geological research (if you could not tell from my lack of expertise) so the help I've gotten so far has been invaluable.
Warm regards,

Re: Mocarski and Bojinski
If these are your Frank and Katie, and she was indeed naturalized in 1900, that she would be 13 that year. In that case maybe they married in USA?

Re: Mocarski and Bojinski
I think Irek might be right with the link. The image 805 on familysearch shows the rest of Mocarski family in 1930 census. There is father-in-law Joseph Budyincosky age 79 who arrived to America in 1890.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... ction=view
Budyincosky could easily be misspelled from Budzinski. Joseph must be father of Katie Mocarski who is 2 years younger than Frank Mocarski.
