Information about Mary Babiarz

Hello,
I've been searching for birth records and other genealogy for my great grandmother with no luck.
Her name was Mary Babiarz? She was supposedly born on March 15, 1890 in Maruszyna.
She immigrated to America on June 13th, 1906 from Bremen on the SS Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is a baptismal record of Maria Babiarz in the village of Maruszyna, but in 1889, but on March 19th:
https://skanoteka.genealodzy.pl/index.p ... 0000000004
The year 1890 is indexed:

Can you attach a link to her manifest, to a publicly accessible website?
Pozdrawiam.

I should also note - another document from her states she was born in "calaeie," but I don't believe this place exists and could potentially be a mistranslation. I think it would be "Kalisz."

The distance from Kalisz to Maruszyna is very long:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Maruszy ... FQAw%3D%3D
As far as the city of Kalisz is concerned, there are other places called Kalisz - also distant ones.
"calaeie" - maybe Galicia?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galicia_(Eastern_Europe)
Is this the marriage index for Maria and Józef?
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... WT?lang=pl
Is there information about the parents?
Maria/Marianna sails to her brother-in-law, Jan Janik.
Karolina Babiarz also sails to her brother-in-law, Jan Janik, in 1907 - item 14, father Józef:

Perhaps a sister? Perhaps the link I provided actually contains Maria's baptismal certificate?
Pozdrawiam.

You are awesome for helping and translating these things I wouldn't understand!
You're probably right about it being Galicia as it is often cited as her birthplace in documents.
No information about her parents. No grandparents alive anymore to help give clues.
That could very well be their marriage certificate as the date is correct, but strange because it would make her younger as she's consistently listed as 2 years older than Joseph in all US census data and other documents.
You may have found her sister as Jan Janik appearing in both immigration records is pretty damning!
I'll take this newfound information and do more digging. I really appreciate it!
Sincerely,
JJ

I believe I found Karolina's birth record, although her father's Name is Jacob and her mother's name is actually Marianna "Janik."
https://skanoteka.genealodzy.pl/index.p ... 9999999998
Once finding that, I looked on Genetka with those surnames and found their family. However, I don't believe this is Marianna's family but possibly family friend? Or maybe she didn't like her name and changed it
https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.ph ... =&to_date=
Since her birth records can't be located, is it possible she lied about her name or date of birth during immigration?
My best guess is you're right about the 1889 record, or maybe she was actually born in 1895 as seen in the link below but I don't know

JJ

Yes, the age given may have been inaccurate.
I suspect that here is Karolina/Carolina's baptismal certificate - 26/1885:
https://skanoteka.genealodzy.pl/index.p ... 0000000004
Jan Janik's wife was probably Aniela/Angela Babiarz, daughter of Józef, sister of Maria/Marianna and Karolina/Carolina - here is the marriage certificate of Janik's daughter, Maria, born in Chicago:
https://skanoteka.genealodzy.pl/index.p ... 9999999996
So there was a marriage: Józef/Joseph Babiarz (son of Franciszek and Katarzyna née Stroma) and Marianna Galica (daughter of Jan and Marianna née Swider) - these are the parents of Aniela, Karolina, and Maria, whose baptismal certificates I have attached.
Pozdrawiam.

I've been going down the Babiarz tree and was wondering where to look next in Przyborow.
Josephus Babiarz - 1869
Franciszek Babiarz - 1834
Stanislaus Babiarz - 1792
Paulus Babiarz - ? The index says 1772 is the earliest date.
Thank you,
JJ
