T:"JÄSCHKE (JAESCHKE) & WOLF – Rengersdorf" Jäschke

Hello everyone,

I am currently researching my family tree and I have hit a brick wall regarding my ancestors who came from present-day Germany or Poland.

I have the marriage register certificates from Sarajevo (Bosnia, November 1898) for my ancestor, Hedvig Matilda JÄSCHKE. According to these documents:
* Her birth date is February 11, 1875.
* Her parents are Karl JÄSCHKE (also spelled Jaeschke) and Wilhelmina JÄSCHKE, born WOLF.
* Her place of birth is listed as "Rengersdorf, Germany".

Since the document simply states "Rengersdorf", I am not entirely sure about the exact location, as there are a few places with this name. However, since the records explicitly state that the family was Roman Catholic, I strongly assume it refers to Rengersdorf in Silesia (Kreis Glatz) – which is today Krosnowice, Poland.

I would be extremely grateful for any help, clues, or advice on how to find more records about Karl Jäschke and Wilhelmina Wolf from this region.

This confirms 100% that I am looking in the right direction. I have already sent an email inquiry to the State Archives in Wrocław and the Archdiocese, so now I will wait for their reply regarding the physical books.

The information about August Jäschke is a fantastic new clue for my family tree. Thank you for your kindness and help!
