Kuźniar and Jachym
Hello. I am from the United States and trying to find information on my great great grandparents. I do not know much but this is what I have so far.
Franz Kuźniar, born November 1883 (?)
If I have found the correct immigration record, he traveled to America in 1903 alone. He was single at the time. It lists Raclawice, Poland as his place of residence. He died in Lorain, Ohio 1938.
After moving to America, he married.
Walerya (Valeria) K Jachym born 1888 (?)
I believe I found her immigration record as well. If it is correct, she traveled to America in 1905. She was single and traveled alone. The immigration record states she had lived in Galicy. She died in Lorain, Ohio in 1970.
They had 14 children:
Michael
Mary
Jean
August
Steven
Stella
John
Joseph
Julie
Lottie
Gladys
Eugene
Benjamin
Augustine
I do not know any further information and have been searching with no luck. If anyone could give me any clues of possible parents names or where I might find more information, I'd much appreciate it. Thank you.
Nina

Hello Malgosia, thank you for responding!
I am not sure which city. I found the Hamburg Passenger List which says:
Name: Franz Kuzniar
Departure Date: 23 Jul 1903
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1885
Age Year: 18
Gender: männlich (Male)
Marital Status: ledig (Single)
Residence: Raclavica,
Ethnicity/Nationality: Österreich (Austrian)
Occupation: Landmann, Tagelöhner
Ship Name: Moltke
Shipping Line: Hamburg-Amerika Linie (Hamburg-Amerikanische Packetfahrt-Actien-Gesellschaft)
Ship Type: Dampfschiff
Accommodation: Zwischendeck
Ship Flag: Deutschland
Port of Departure: Hamburg
Port of Arrival: Southampton; Cherbourg; New York
Then I found New York Passenger List for his arrival:
Name: Franz Kúzniar
Arrival Date: 2 Aug 1903
Birth Date: abt 1885
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Ethnicity/ Nationality: Polish
Port of Departure: Hamburg
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Ship Name: Moltke
I believe this to be his immigration record but I'm not 100% sure.
I believe he was born in November 1883.
This is an image of the city name written on the passenger list:

Also, it says his cousin Franz Wojlak (spelling?) is picking him up.
I believe this to be the Baltimore Passenger List for his wife Valeria (they were not married yet).
Walerya Jachym
Arrival Date: Apr 1905
Age: 18
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1887
Gender: Female
Race: Polish
Port of Departure: Bremen, Germany
Ship Name: Brandenburg
Port of Arrival: Baltimore, Maryland
Destination: Allegheny, Pennsylvania
Friend's Name: Jan Gatewski
Last Residence: Galicy
Here is an image of the city name:

I have a birth date for her - 20 Dec 1886 (but not 100% sure).
I could help if anyone needs help with American research of Polish or Hungarian ancestors. Especially in Ohio. There are many Polish and Hungarian people where I live and records are easy to find, usually.

Sorry my pics did not work. These documents are on ancestry.com and you can only view if you have a paid subscription. So I saved them to my google+ account and you should be able to view them there. I have 2 documents for Franz Kuzniar: The Hamburg departure manifest and the NYC arrival manifest. And I have one document for Valeria Jachym, the Baltimore arrival manifest. I have put a comment when you open the image in google+ that says which line # to look at. These are the only early documents I have which mention cities they are from. The only other info I have is from US Census data which does not mention their original city so they are not of much use.
