Where can I find birth, death and marriage records for early 1700 and earlier for Poland and Lithuania. I have traced back my family (Gozdawa Boczkowski) to the Novograd Wolinski area to 1717 but the information is sketchy if not confusing.

The earliest names I have are Stanislaw Boczkowski married to "Lunka", resulting in son Josef married to Anna Bieliecka (1717 ish). They had a son Wojciech (1693-1783) married to Anna Chodecka resulting in Michal (married to Marianna Pawlowska) Antonia, Wojciech (sons were Blazej-Wicenti and Dominik), Florian (sons were Wincenti, Stanislaw Jan-Nikolaj, Michal Teodor-Gavril, Florian and Julian), Jacub (sons Lukasz and Marcine) and Gregorz ((sons Pawel, Kasper and Piotr).

There was a discussion on the subject of Wołyń metric books on forgen (in Polish). It is now in Ukraine, earlier it was in Russia.

It seems that the archives in Ukraine hold the metric books from around 1800.
It might be an option, very tedious I'm afraid, to search through land registers.
I checked for you the nobility register of Wołyń gubernia 1906

In part 1 on page 7 they list Boczkowski, registered in 1853: Dominik and Błażej Wincenty sons of Wojciech, with children: Antoni Marian, Euzebiusz, Dionizy, Tekla, Gwidona, Franciszka; Piotr Antoni son of Wincenty Florianow (son of Florian); Stanisław Jan Mikołaj with sons: Konrad Leon and Izydor Florian, Michał Teodor Gabriel, Paweł Leonard and Julianna, children of Florian, all grandchildren of Ignacy Wojciech Józefow (son of Józef).

Good luck with your search
