What means "Morgownik"?

Dear members,

I found in polish birth certificates between the name of the father and his age - at the place where the profession is situated - the word "MORGOWNIK". What does it mean in English or German?

I think that it may be "poor farmer". Morg is a unit of measurement of land.

Hi,
Morgownik was a peasant holding one or a few morga (a morga is a unit of land measure approx. 5600 sq.m)
