Hello,
I am searching for records from Aleksandrów that are earlier than 1826. Preferably Evangelical and Reformed (Lutheran).
If they exist online, is their a link?
Thank you in advance
Yvette

So sorry, I am very new to research in Poland - I have always left this side of my family as unknown mainly due to the language barrier.
I still have much to learn
Here is (hopefully) a better description of my main focus area
Province: Lodz , County: zgierski (368)
Team: 1388 / D- file marital status Lutheran Parish in Aleksander
Thanks
Yvette

Hi again dear Yvette,
Thanks for this next info. Now we can say your family ancestral town is named now as Aleksandrow Lodzki, in the 19th century named as Aleksandrow Leczycki, Aleksandrow Fabryczny. Your Aleksandrow was established in 1816 by the owner of Bruzyca Wielka - Rafal Bartoszewski who organized there the textile factories, where some Germans as knitters and weavers from Silesia and Posen Province were settled. The Lutheran parish in this Aleksandrow was errected in the following years.
As you see from above this is an explanation why the Aleksandrow Lutheran civil records were accesible only from the year 1826. In your case you must try to find any record from the Aleksandrow after the 1826 [birth, marriage, deaths, ...] telling the exact origin of the the Lutheran parents/families derived from any place of Silesia or Posen Province.
So sorry we cannot help you more with the records before 1826.
Hope this helps a bit, with the best good luck in your further search!

Very interesting,
I have one line "Gildner" which most definately German so fits into what you have said perfectly. I have found (in Aleksandrow) records which put this family back to Niderjosse, Hesse-Darmstadt.
The Rejmann/Rozenau line I believe to be Jewish and Polish/German - I am looking into these records now but most are still only mentioning Ruda Bugaj, Aleksandrow.
Persistance however, will hopefully turn up something further.
Thank you very much, you have been most helpful
