Hello All, sorry but I don't speak or write Polish and my translator program soesn't do a very good job so please bear with me. If a Polish speaker couls translate my message into Polish for the benefit of other members who don't speak Polish That would be most helpful.

I am a attaching a link to the Kresy/genealodzy website from a metric book of what I think could possibly be an ancestor of mine, but I am not proficient in Russian either. The book was photographed so the photo quality is not that good, so hopefully it is somewhat legibile.

I am hoping the record below is a Fronnckiewicz in particular a child of Jozef Fronckiewicz and his wife Marcjanna(Marianna) Rogowicz. I know he had 2 sons Rafal and Romuald and a daughter Scholastyka. I was hopeful this might be one of them or at least a Fronckiewicz.

- 29th May, 1855 in Nowe Troki Catholic Church, a child was christen HELENA TEKLA by a prist Laurenty Łukaszewicz

- daughter of "minor nobleman" Jan Frąckiewicz and his wife ...wilda? nee Popławska; born in Pietkieniszki on 27th May 1855 in the morning.

- godparents were Antoni Sadowski and Urszula Glebowska

You were looking for the Szymkiewiczs. Here you have a 1842 birth record of Teofila Izabela Szymkiewcz from Ellerna RK church. The place is located in today's Latvia, not far to the north of the Lithuanian border:

It could be from the same family although Mr. Malewski search seems to be focused on the area of the Wilno Archdiocese. I am getting spoiled. After finding one line in the Same parish (Michalkiewicz's and Subotowicz's) in Suderwa back to 1800 or so, I am not used to the twists and turns of moving families. Maybe they were more upwardly mobile; the Szymkiewicz's and Fronckiewicz's.
