Conrad Zawadzki

I am seeking information regarding my grandfather Conrad Zawadzki.
Conrad was born on March 4, 1908 in Kalisz Kaszubski, Gmina Dziemiany, Kóscierzyna, Województwo Pomorskie. He lived in Piastoszyn, Gmina Kęsowo before the war. Prior to the September 1939 campaign, he enlisted in the Polish Army with his two cousins Felix Piepiórka and Marcin Piepiórka.
I am trying to find out more information about my grandfather's activity during the war. I know he was probably conscripted. The few records I have state that:
-Polish Army: 06/11/1939-09/12/1939
-German Army: 03/27/1942-11-06/1944
-Polish Army: 11/22/1944-04/22/1947
-Polish Resettlement Corps: 04/22/1947-08/06/1948/
-Arrived in UK: 11/22/1944.
-Upon arrival in UK, recovered from a gunshot wound to the leg in a hospital.
Unfortunately, he was never able to return to Poland and settled in England, until his death in 1972.
I speculate that he was taken prisoner after in September 1939 and probably conscripted into the Wehrmacht afterwards. In November 1944, I believe that he was captured by British Forces, which enabled him to rejoin the Polish Army under British command. Around this same time, Józef Tusk (grandfather of Donald Tusk) who was also conscripted into the Wehrmacht rejoined as well, so there may be a connection.
Any information about his wartime activities would be much appreciated, especially since my father and I have spent many years trying to find out what happened to him. Thanks.
