Thank you Roman! I am trying to learn how to post requests, but it's tough not knowing any Polish!

Hi, You are welcome. A couple of important points that may help you:
1) A part of this forum etiquette is signing your posts with at least a name.
2) Try to post just one document (translation request) at a time. Use descriptive titles e.g. Jozef Zukowski birth
3) Once the translation is done, change the title of your post by adding OK. e.g. Jozef Zukowski birth - OK. This can be done by pressing the "Zmien" button in a lower right corner, the one with a scissors symbol.
Enjoy,
Roman

Hi Roman,
Thank you for the advice, Roman. I will keep it in mind. I have a whole document translating the way to post now, in English. But boy, I wish Google would translate the whole page.
I see the scissors!
Again, thank you,
Carolyn

Hi Roman,
Quick question: should I place all of my requests in the English translation sub-forum regardless of whether the record is originally in Russian or Polish? What if I can't tell if the original record is Polish or Russian? Sometimes the handwriting and scans are difficult to read.
Many thanks,
Carolyn

Carolyn,
That would be a good question for the moderator (which I am not). I can only speculate that if you want your final translation to be into English, then starting in an English subforum may be OK. Especially if you are not sure of the original language of the document. Perhaps the moderator can provide some additional guidance? (Pytanie do moderatora - czy proźby o tłmaczenie na angielski powinny być umieszczane w sekcji "Tłumaczenia-angielski"? Pytający czasami nie wiedzą jaki jest język oryginalnego dokumentu.)
All the best,
Roman
