I am searching for birthplace and family of my great-grandmother. Antonina Szworst
Searching for location of additional earlier Połomia Baryczka (1880's) documents indexed on this site, roll does not go further than 1890.

Also would appreciate if someone is familiar with these names and can guide me in a better direction for research. I may be misinterpreting spelling of Baryczka on found passenger records.

Antonina Szworst (Szworszt), born 29/06/1886 per US documents found.
Parents named as Jan and Mary.
Sisters Katarzyna Szworst (b.1886) Tekla Szworst (b.1888)
Passenger records appear to list "Baryczka Galicia" as location for all three sisters, but do not indicate which specific Baryczka.

All three sisters arrived in US 1906-1907 unmarried, so I do not have other family names to assist in search of marriage records. Antonia Szworst appears to be accompanied with Ludwiga Kuś, also from Baryczka, so likely related as cousins.

From searching the indexes of this site, I suspect Połomia Baryczka as best location to search, I see:
1890 Aniela Szworst - Jan / Marianna Rużańska - Połomia - Baryczka
1890 Józefa Kuś - Stanisław / Agnieszka Szworst - Połomia - Baryczka

Hi, actually the right surname should be Sworst, because this is what appears in google search.

Połomia is the parish, other surroundig villiges belonged to parish, it includes Baryczka as separate village from Połomia. It is to the south from Rzeszów. Its easy to find on the map because all that villages are along the main road. Today baryczka also has church and parisch since 1983.

There are people with Sworst, Sworszt, Szwort surnames etc coming from Baryczka, Połomia, Wyżne and also Lipnice to the north from Rzeszów but could not be part of family.

There are no more metrical books online, so i am afraid that if You want to go back 1890 You would have to visit the parish.
