Andrasik/Jedrasiak names the same?

Hi,

I have discovered a marriage record that names one of my ancestors as an Andrasik, but all further records for him (birth of children, second marriage - parents names match, deaths of children, etc.) have him named Jedrasiak. All the dates and locations make sense. Are the names Andrasik and Jedrasiak the same? It would really pull my tree together if they were.

Dear Carolyn,
they could be the same. Andrzej and Jędrzej are both the same first name, Andrew, and the surname you ask for seems to be name-derived.
