I am at the point where I want to get records from the dicoses archives in Tarnów. I know exactly what parish and when (one record in 1909, the rest before 1890) the records are that I want - my question is more with regards to their service. I am in Canada, and would not be able to visit the archive in person.

On their price list page, cennik-uslug, a couple of the services are:

5. Wyszukiwanie dokumentów i informacji w aktach w języku obcym przez pracowników Archiwum

6. Wyszukiwanie materiałów archiwalnych, prowadzenie kwerend przez pracowników Archiwum

both for '10 zł Za godzinę zegarową'

I've read this page using google translate, but I'm not 100% clear on the meaning of the lines 5. and 6.. Do they mean that a member of the archive would do a search for me without me having to hire a third party to visit the archive?

I'm also wondering if anyone knows if they accept payment online, or if it'd have to be done through the mail?

I'm going to email them (hopefully in a passable Polish) soon, but was hoping some of this could be cleared up before then (primarily the translation question above).

Yep. You understand this sentences perfectly good.
You don't need third party for searching. Archive's employee would do it for you for 10zł per hour.

I belive that online payment is avalible, but, to be sure, write an email to Tarnów Archive about possible ways of payment.
