I can’t read Polish but am told that the marriage record for my Great Grandparents Edward Lewandowski & Teofila Dynowska (Nov 1885 Kujawsko-Pomorskie) show Edwards parents as Adam Lewandowski & Maryanna Lywocka.

I did find a record for Edward being born to them 8 Dec 1861 Rokicie Mazowieckie but I don’t see any siblings which seems odd.

Do you think Maryanna’s maiden name really was Lywocka or could it have actually been Zlywoska or Zlowacka or Zlywodzka? Wondering if Edward, Maryanna, Rozalia, Jozefa, and Onofry all actually had the same parents (Adam & Maryanna) but her maiden name kept getting spelled wrong.

In the birth records that you found for Edward, Maryanna, Rozalia, Jozefa, and Onofry, what did each of them specify as being the age of the mother and the age of the father, and did the ages roughly align to the chronological order of the births ? Also, does it all roughly align to the age in Marianna’s 1883 death record, Adam’s 1908 death record and their 1847 marriage record ?
Being able to view the actual birth records that you refer to would assist in answering your question.

So I had a quick look through the actual records (not the Geneteka indexes) and…..

In Adam Lewandowski and Marianna Złowodzka’s 1847 marriage record, he was 20 years old, she was 19 years old.

In the 1851 birth record of Maryanna Lewandowska, Adam Lewandowski was 27 years old and Marianna nee Złowodzka was 25 years old.

In the 1854 birth record of Rozalia Lewandowska, Adam Lewandowski was 30 years old and Marianna nee Złowadzka was 26 years old.

In the 1861 birth record of Edward Lewandowski, Adam Lewandowski was 45 years old and Marianna nee Ływocka was 30 years old.

In the 1869 birth record of Józefa Lewandowska, Adam Lewandowski was 40 years old and Marianna nee Zływoska was 27 years old.

In the 1871 birth record of Onofry Lewandowski, Adam Lewandowski was 46 years old and Marianna nee Złowacka was 45 years old.

In the 1888 death record of Marianna Lewandowska nee Złowodzka she was 65 years old.

I think that it's a safe bet that they were the same Adam and Marrianna all the way thru.
