Hi!
Writing from California, but about a branch of my family in France.
Appreciate any help navigating your local sites in Polish...
Got two informations leading to Warsaw from page 253 of: http://archives-en-ligne.seine-et-marne ... /1050/1680
- Léon Louis Leclère born in Warsaw (Russia...) on August 1, 1860
- His father, François Louis, died in Warsaw on January 29, 1877
I found a mention of Léon's birth on your online database (thank you!):
https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.ph ... rdertable=
Leading to: https://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.p ... =1&x=0&y=0

1. Anyone could translate the key information out of this text in Polish?
2. Any chance to locate his father's death record from the date above?

Huge thank you, grand merci!!
Jean.
PS: incidentally, I'd love to find out what François Louis Leclère was doing in occupied Warsaw at the time... (seems like it was temporary as the son married in France in 1881)

From the wedding record of Léon, page 243 of: http://archives-en-ligne.seine-et-marne ... /1050/1680
Looks a legitimate date.
Jean.

Incidentally, the following search returns a record which could be the wedding of Leon's brother:
https://geneszukacz.genealodzy.pl/index ... =pol&op=se

> 1858 12 Lonis, Victor Leclere Charlotte, Lydia Dui Parish: Poznań św. Piotr (ewang.)

Any chance to access to a scan of that one (no link from the search result)?

Thank you!
Jean.

Dear Jean,
There is a notice in the newspaper mentioned in the link below - page 5, 1st column - about the death of Mr Leclere, a French professor, who died at the age of 60 after a short illness. The ceremony was at St Croix church.

All the best, Nika

Thank you, Nika!
Necrology is never fun but it is so cool to get access to such a digitized past.
I'm impressed with the support of your community, thank you again, all!
Take care,
Jean.
