Hi,
On my ancestor birth act, there is 2 dates:
27 listopada
8 grudnia

my polish is poor, but i know it's November and December. What's the meaning of this Two dates?
I thought it was the dates in gregorian calendar and julian calendar.. but for this periode (1800, 1900) i read that there is only apparently 12 days between... but here it's 13 days (and that's not the only act with this difference), don't understand. Is someone could help me to understand?^^ Thank you.

Hi Franck,

these are likely birth and baptism dates. To make sure, perhaps you could share an image of the relevant passage?

it's the last Act (A312), notes in margin. The act is in russian, but the margin notes seems in polish. Thanks a lot for your help.

Looking at the other dates it's more likely to be Julian and Gregorian calendar. In Russia Julian calendar has been in use until Feb 1918.

If it's the gregorian and julian date, there is another mystery. I used différent onlline calculator for date and it's always 12 days between. Here it's 13^^ (it make me crazy^^)

Yes, year in this act is 1884 so it must be 12.. but it's 13.. very strange.

Maybe it's just a mistake?

If i don't wan't to get mad of this... yes, must think it's probably a mistake^^ and this doesn't change for my searches.. It was only for historic curiosity.

27.11 until 08.12. = 12 days. November has 30 days.

If the priest was so good in maths as some of us... no wonder there are mistakes.
There should be 12 days of difference but there are 11, not 12 and not 13!

0 - 27 Nov
1 - 28 Nov
2 - 29 Nov
3 - 30 Nov
4 - 1 Dec
5 - 2 Dec
6 - 3 Dec
7 - 4 Dec
8 - 5 Dec
9 - 6 Dec
10 - 7 Dec
11 - 8 Dec
12 - 9 Dec

It's just a mistake. He is correct on the next page and in December.
