Hi,
Tracing your Ludwika Żegilewicz life story and town Grodzisk Mazowiecki I've also checked this book and found out the next trace confirming that our Krystyna (Krystyna - greetings!) is right, she was a teacher in this town school.
To tell more about this invaluable book:
The Grodzisk Mazowiecki's town hall in 2011 decided to invest money and edit the book colleting the memories of the Grodzisk Mazowiecki citizens, from the years 1935 to the current times. The title od this book is: "W pamięci zapisane : Grodzisk Mazowiecki - wspomnienia różne" - "Written in memory: Grodzisk Mazowiecki - various memories", the author Alicja Szafrańska. And in this book with "Rozdział 1 Życie w mieście w latach 1935-1945" = "Chapter 1 Life in town in the years 1935-1945", the first one memory is "Z pamiętnika Panny Ady" - "From the memory of Miss Ada", and on the page 7th with the memories from the local school I've found the small sentence:
"Czwartek, 16 styczeń 1936 r.
Ponieważ zbliża się 1 luty, a z nim imieniny p. Prezydenta, więc p. Żegilewicz zwraca się do klasy, żeby wystąpili ci, którzy podejmą się deklamacji. Oczywiście wystąpiłam."
"Thursday, January 16, 1936
Since February 1 is approaching, and with it the President's name day, M. Żegilewicz turns to class, so that those who will undertake the declamation will come forward. Of course I did."
Thus, we can suppose this was your Ludwika Żegilewicz, as a young teacher.
This book from the Grodzisk Mazowiecki Library -

Her paintings and exhibition - this was possible all her life loved hobby.
And finally for today I've checked this Grodzisk Mazowiecki cementary, and graves with the surname Żegilewicz, and yes, there are 2 "livimg" graves:
1. Leopold Żegilewicz
b. 1926-11-15 d. 2007-07-03
2. Antonina Żegilewicz
b. 1899-04-21 d. 1973-06-03
No death records with Ludwika Żegilewicz, I suppose she emigrated to... (could you tell where?)
