Szdebka (town or village)

Hello,

I am currently doing some genalogical research and found for the first time where my grand-father came from. I had no clue before but a few days ago we found an official document in the civil state of a small town, where his Polish birth place was mentioned.

He was born in 1878. The town mentioned is "Szdebka".
I haved looked for it on the Internet but I have no result. I wonder if there is no spelling mistake or if it was not recorded on the basis of its local phonetic pronunciation. (But it might be correct as well!)

I would be really grateful if someome could help me to find out where this place is nowadays located and how it is spelled out in Polish?
Unfortunately, I don't have more information like the Powiat of the city or anything else... I just know that his wife was born in a city between Rzeszow and Przemysl.

Thank you so much for your help in advance.
Greetings.

A może to Izdebka;
Izdebki – wieś w Polsce położona w województwie podkarpackim, w powiecie brzozowskim, w gminie Nozdrzec.
Nazwa wsi zmieniała się: w 1440 nazywa się Gysdbycza, Isdbycza, w 1460 – Iszdebky, a w 1468 – Hystepky, Istepka.

Hello Bogumiła and Elgra,

Thank you so much for your help.
Indeed, although I don't know Polish, it really looks like "Izdebka" was not written correctly and the "i" at the beginning was removed.

Nice!

I will try to contact the archives and Parishes there. It is great to know where he (we) came from. Thank you 1000 of times for your help!!

Since you seem so efficient, may I also submit some other places that I am looking for? His children were born in different places which I also didn't find...
* Nizsa-Gabia (difficult to read: Nizia-Zabia? Nizia-Czabia ??)
* Marchniecz (Warchniecz?)
* Zourawoz

If you have more information here, it would be really helpful, because I didn't find anything...

Thanks a million!

A może - Marchwacz (instead of Marchniecz (Warchniecz?))

Trzeba szukać bliżej Rzeszowa i Przemyśla.

Hi,

Thanks very much for the help!
I really appreciate your contribution and suggestions!

I'm not 100% sure these are the cities but I don't have any other idea.

As for Raba Niżna, is it possible? Because in the paper I have the word that looks like Niżna is at the first place. But maybe both are possible in Polish?

Thanks anyway for all these suggestions (Nozdrzec, Niżna Łąka, Żurawica and Raba Niżna). I will try them...
I am still investigating to find other papers, so if I find anything more (like another version of the city written more properly...), I hope I can get back to you again?

Thanks again!

Hello "Fijalka descendant".
it would help those who want to help you if you put scans of the documents online (many people use fotosik.pl) and place a link to them so we can see what was written.

(and sign your posts with a name. It's nice to know the person whom we are talking to :) )

Sprawdziłam w genetece: podkarpackie/Nozdrzec występują nazwiska Fiałka i Fiałkowski. Zatem kierunek poszukiwań podkarpackie -> gmina Nozdrzec -> miejscowości Nozdrzec, Żurawiec, Izdebki jest jak najbardziej poprawny.
